KENNESAW, Ga. – Monday marked the beginning of fall camp for the Kennesaw State football program, ahead of its inaugural season in the ASUN Conference.
"It was great to be back out here with the team and to see all of the new faces," said head coach
Brian Bohannon. "We talked last night about achieving our goals for the season and what it would take. It all starts by coming out here and embracing every rep, every minute of meetings and all the team events that we do during camp."
The Owls have 25 practices scheduled before opening the season in one month at Samford on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPN+. KSU hosts Wofford on Saturday, Sept. 24 to open its home slate.
Bohannon leads KSU into the 2022 campaign with four ASUN Preseason All-Conference selections, including ASUN Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and STATS Perform Preseason All-American,
Xavier Shepherd.
Kennesaw State comes off a 11-2 record in 2021 which saw the Black and Gold capture its third Big South Conference title and fourth appearance in the FCS Playoffs.
