KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's lacrosse not only posted a record-setting season in 2022 in which it set a new program standard for total wins, the Owls impressed in the classroom as well, as for the second straight season the Owls were named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for 2021-22.
Only 295 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA received the IWLCA honor. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Sam Campanella, Sienna Gore,
Payton Gregory,
McKenzie Jackson,
Anna Karoly,
Carson Pearson,
Jaxsyn Schonewille, and
Roslyn Talbert all earned spots on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll for having earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. This follows a strong academic year for KSU that saw Gore claim both ASUN Scholar-Athlete and CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team honors, while KSU placed two players on the conference academic squad (Gore and Jackson).
This is the seventh overall season KSU has been recognized, including five straight not including the shortened COVID-19 season of 2020.
