Siena Gore isn't done yet adding to her long list of accomplishments in 2022, as she became the first player in school history to be named to IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association) All-Region, after being selected to the South Region Second Team, the national organization announced on Thursday. Thanks to her selection, she is now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on May 26.
Gore wrapped up her outstanding season and five-year career at Kennesaw State a week ago, posting three points in her final game in the conference tournament semifinals to become the first player in ASUN Conference history to reach 100 points in a season. That came just one day after she became the first two-time ASUN Player of the Year, while also picking up ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition for a clean sweep of the league individual awards.
The first-ever player to be named All-ASUN First Team four times, the Alpharetta native led the nation in scoring for the majority of the season, and is currently third in the NCAA with a new career, KSU and ASUN record-setting 80 goals this season with at least one more game to play. She was the key factor for an Owl team that claimed the first winning season in school history, breaking the record for most wins in a season by three games with an 11-7 mark. Gore ranks in the top 10 in the nation in seven categories, including fifth in total points, and she also ranks fifth in draw controls per game at 8.61, while her 155 for the year shattered her previous career record. Gore led the ASUN in goals, points, free position goals and draw controls, and earned a league-high four Player of the Week honors.
She is graduating from KSU this month with her master's degree in Systems Engineering, and held a perfect 4.0 GPA all three years of her undergraduate career as well as her past two years in graduate school. She was named Academic All-ASUN for the third time in her career.
