KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis defeated Jacksonville State 4-3 on Friday afternoon.
The win secured the Owls their fifth ASUN Conference victory and improved them to 13-5 overall.
The Owls won the doubles point and three singles matches to secure the victory.
Seru Tezuka and
Sergio Ingles made quick work of Alex Vishnevskiy and Joaquin Vallejo en route to a 6-0 win on court three. The Gamcocks would pick up a win on court one.
Raul Garcia and
Harvey Conway defeated Vanja Dobrnjac and Jordi Blanchar 6-4 to secure the point.
JSU won on court six to tie the match 1-1.
Harvey Conway dispatched of Maj Tomac 6-1, 6-2 to put the Owls in front for good.
Matthew Terry picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win over Vallejo. Garcia clinched the win dispatching of Thomas Norwood 6-1, 6-3. The Gamecocks collected a pair of wins on courts four and five to close the scoring at 4-3.
KSU will host Lipscomb for Senior Day on Sunday, Apr. 10 at 2 p.m. The Senior Day ceremony is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at the Betty Siegel Courts.
