KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team downed Lipscomb 7-0 on Sunday.
The victory gave the Owls their sixth ASUN Conference victory and improved to 14-5 overall. KSU finished the home portion of its schedule with a 7-1 record.
KSU honored
Kevin Patel,
Sergio Ingles and
Matthew Terry on Senior Day prior to the final home match of the season.
The Owls won the doubles point and six singles matches to secure the shutout.
Seru Tezuka and
Sergio Ingles defeated Luka Stojanovic and David Skrabut 6-2 on court three.
Matthew Terry and
Hugo Salmeron clinched the point with a 6-4 win over Pedro Uribe and Gonzalo Garcia-Nieto.
Salmeron opened singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jake Penny. Terry downed Maksim Bogdonavich 6-0, 6-2.
Raul Garcia clinched the victory over Alex Mesquida 6-3, 6-0.
Kevin Patel (6-1, 6-3) and Ingles (7-5, 6-1) both collected wins in their final matches on the Betty Siegel Courts.
Harvey Conway closed the match with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win over Uribe.
KSU concludes ASUN conference play and the regular season as it travels to North Alabama on Thursday, Apr. 14. Match time is set for 3 p.m. in Florence, AL., at the UNA Varsity Tennis Courts.
