KENNESAW, Ga. – For the fifth straight week and the sixth time this season, the ASUN Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week is a Kennesaw State Owl, as senior
McKenzie Jackson was announced as one of the two weekly winners by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. Jackson shared this week's honor with Jenny Kinsey from Jacksonville.
This is the first career weekly honor for Jackson, and she is the third different Owl to earn weekly recognition this season, joining Chessyln Lamar (March 29) and
Siena Gore (Feb. 22, March 8, March 15, March 22). In addition,
Errin Crowe was the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 22.
A senior from Bowie, Md., Jackson set new career-highs for goals (six), points (seven) and shots on goal (seven) as she helped lead the Owls to a school-record tying ninth win of the season, 19-10 on April 2 at Stetson. She notched a hat trick less than six minutes into the game, scoring KSU's second, third and fourth goals of the game to help spark the Owls to an 8-1 first quarter lead.
For the season, she's currently sixth in the ASUN in scoring with 23 goals and eighth in total points with 26.

st-ranked Jacksonville for a Saturday, 3 p.m. contest.
