KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team plays its final road game of the regular season on Saturday with a key ASUN matchup at Coastal Carolina The match starts at 12 p.m., and there will be live stats available for the match but no live video.
 
A FEW NOTES
 
» A win for KSU on Saturday would keep them in the top three of the conference, as Liberty and Jacksonville go into their matchup Saturday both tied at 3-0, while the Owls are just one game behind at 2-1 in league play.
 
» This is the tenth meeting in program history between the Owls and the Chanticleers. The Chanticleers currently lead the series 9-0.
 
» Siena Gore is the driving force behind the Owls' scoring production, as the senior midfielder is currently is third in total goals with 73 and third in goals per game (4.87). The Alphraetta, Ga. native is also tied for fourth in the NCAA in points (90), and sixth in draw controls (8.47 pg). In her game against Jacksonville State on April 9, she became the fourth player in NCAA history to reach 300 career goals. 
 
» Gore isn't the only Owl that is shining in 2022. As a team, KSU is currently ranked eighth in the NCAA in shot percentage (.496) and 17th in free percentage (.495). Their 15.07 goals per game average is also the 21st-highest in the country.
 
» KSU is currently off to the best start in school history at 10-5, as the ten wins is also a new school standard

» One advantage for Kennesaw State heading into the schedule, the Owls return nine of 11 starters from last year's squad, and a total of 20 overall players. 
 
Attacker Lauren Creman leads the Chanticleers in scoring on the season with 25 goals. Fellow attacker Kayla Downey holds the most points, with 18 goals and 16 assists on the season. Protecting the net will be sophomore Claire Martell, who has 121 saves with a save percentage of .435 this season.
 
RECORD-SETTING OUTING VERSUS DELAWARE STATE
The Owls dominated Delaware State on April 16 in a 21-2 victory, which sets a new record for the fewest points allowed in a game by the Owls. Siena Gore also topped 73 goals in a season, which breaks the previous record set by Gore herself in 2019.
 
OWLS OFF TO SCHOOL-RECORD SETTING START
KSU's impressive start to the year has been one for the record books, as the team's 10-5 record in the first 15 games is the best-ever in the team's 10-year history. The previous best mark after 11 games was in 2017 when the team was 6-5, on the way to an 8-9 season. The team's ten wins are the most in program history as well.
 
OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION FOR THE OWLS
Graduate transfer McKenzie Jackson has accumulated 26 goals (second on the team) and 30 draw controls so far this season. The attacker was a two-time First-Team All-Sunshine State Conference selection for Embry-Riddle. Also ranking high on the squad is senior Chesslyn Lamar who is having a career season, and is currently third on the squad in goals (25) and third in points (33). 
 
JACKSON JOINS ASUN HONORS
Graduate transfer McKenzie Jackson picked up her first ASUN Player of the Week on April 5 after a six-goal effort against Stetson to open conference play. The award was the fifth consecutive Player of the Week award for the Owls. 
 
NEXT TIME OUT
The Owls will close out the regular season with a Senior Day contest against ASUN opponent Liberty at Fifth-Third Bank Stadium on Saturday, April 30 at 12:00 p.m.
