Back at the Bank: 2022 Spring Game

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State football team returns to Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Friday, Apr. 15 at 7:00 p.m. for the 2022 Spring Game.
Admission is free and all seating will be located behind the KSU sideline. Superior Plumbing Gate A on the southwest corner of the stadium is the only entrance for the event and opens at 6:00 p.m.
Gold, Green, Gray and Tan lots are available for parking. Parking lots will open one hour prior to kickoff.
The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+ with the "Voice of the Owls" Nolan Alexander and former KSU standout wide receiver Caleb O'Neal on the call.

Kickoff: Friday, Apr. 15 at 7:00 p.m. inside Fifth Third Bank Stadium

Spring Game Scoring System
The 2022 Spring Game features a modified scoring system. For the offense, touchdowns award five points and field goals earn three points while extra points, explosive plays (15+ yard run or 20+ yard pass), third down conversions and fourth down conversions are worth one point each.
On the defensive side, five points are awarded for turnovers. Three points are tacked on after forcing a three-and-out. A defensive touchdown or holding the offense to a red zone field goal earn two points each while third and fourth down stops each award one point.

2021 Recap
The Owls return to action coming off an impressive 2021 season that included the team's third Big South Conference championship, the fourth consecutive 10-win fall season and fourth FCS Playoff appearance.
Quarterback Xavier Shepherd took over in week two against Georgia Tech and won 10 of his last 11 starts, earning Big South Offensive Player of the Year honors. Shepherd broke the KSU single-season record for passing touchdowns (15) and led the FCS in rushing touchdowns (23). He also set five single-game Big South postseason records in the Black and Gold's first-round victory over Davidson.
Head coach Brian Bohannon won Big South Coach of the Year honors in addition to Special Teams Player of the Year Nathan Robertson and Defensive Freshman of the Year Garland Benyard.
The 2022 season begins Thursday, Sept. 1 on the road at Samford.
The Owls enter the ASUN Conference this fall for the conference's inaugural football season which features rematches against Jacksonville State and North Alabama. Fans can purchase season tickets for the 2022 season here.
