CONWAY, Ark. – The Kennesaw State softball team (10-17, 2-4 ASUN Conference) fell to the Central Arkansas Bears (19-11, 4-2 ASUN) 9-1 in the final outing of a three-game series Sunday.
The Bears crossed home once in the opening frame and six times in the second, jumping out to a 7-0 lead. Central Arkansas added another run in the fourth to put the deficit at 8-0.
Katie Greep broke through for the Owls in the top of the fifth, hitting a single up the middle to score
Ty Hardeman to make it 8-1.
UCA scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to get the win via run-rule, 9-1.
Laura Bishop (1-3) got the start for the Owls and was credited with the loss.
GAME NOTES

ON DECK
The Owls head down I-75 on Wednesday, March 30 for a rematch against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The game is set for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch on ACC Network Extra.
KSU returns to Bailey Park on Saturday, April 2 for a doubleheader against ASUN foe Lipscomb for 'Youth Softball Day.' First pitch of game one is set for 1:00 p.m.
