A FEW NOTES
♦ Both teams are coming in off wins, as Kennesaw State pulled off a 75-70 upset win over Bellarmine on the road. UCA meanwhile held off Stetson 79-75.
♦ KSU is looking to snap a three-game losing streak on its home court, though two of the losses came at the two division leaders in Liberty and Jacksonville State. The Bears meanwhile are just 1-11 on the road this season and have lost their last three away games by 22, 19 and 20 points.
♦ The Owls hope to bring their three-point success from the road back to the Convocation Center. After making just seven total threes against North Alabama and Liberty, KSU knocked down a total of 24 in its past two games, including 15 in the win over Bellarmine.
♦ The returning experience from last season is paying off on the offensive side for KSU, as the Owls' 74.6 ppg average is just behind the current school record of 75.0 ppg, set in the 2016-17 season.
♦ KSU played a challenging non-conference schedule this season, which currently ranks as the 31st-toughest non-conference schedule in the nation. The Owls' eight non-conference losses came at the hands of Iowa State, Creighton, Belmont, Wake Forest, Mercer, Wofford, Samford and Nebraska. Those eight schools have a combined 115-74 record (through Feb. 8).
