A FEW NOTES
♦ The last time a postseason men's basketball game was played in the city of Kennesaw was in 2004, when the Owls hosted the 2004 NCAA Division II Southwest Regional. KSU won all three games in that regional on the way to its NCAA championship title run.
♦ This is the just the fifth meeting all-time between the schools, and EKU leads the all-time series 4-0, which includes the earlier meeting this season, which saw the two teams play a triple-overtime thriller before EKU escaped with an 82-81 victory thanks to a free throw in the final seconds.
♦ Tuesday is the second time this season the teams will play after the Owls faced Liberty. KSU is coming off a heartbreaking loss in which it held a 2-point lead with seven seconds left at the league leaders before falling 100-93 in overtime on the road.
♦ The Owls have already claimed the most wins (12) and the most ASUN victories in a season (seven) since the 2016-17 season (14-18, 7-7 ASUN).
♦ The returning experience from last season is paying off on the offensive side for KSU, as the Owls' 74.2 ppg average is just behind the current school record of 75.0 ppg, set in the 2016-17 season.
