Leading Off
The Kennesaw State softball team returns to Bailey Park to host a portion of the I-75 Challenge on Friday, Feb. 25 through Sunday, Feb. 27.
The Owls will play two on Friday, Feb. 25 starting with a 2:00 p.m. first pitch against East Tennessee State and followed by a scheduled 4:30 p.m. start against rival Georgia State.
The Nittany Lions from Penn State come to Bailey Park for a doubleheader against KSU on Saturday, Feb. 26 with first pitch for game one set for 2:00 p.m.Â
Five games in three days for the Owls concludes with a rematch against East Tennessee State on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 12:00 p.m. All games involving Kennesaw State will be live streamed on the KSU Owl Network YouTube channel.
Bailey Park will also host a neutral site contest between the Buccaneers and Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25.

Weekend Storylines
>> The Owls currently hold winning streaks against all three opponents in the I-75 Challenge.
>> This marks the fifth I-75 Challenge for KSU and the Owls have finished each of the last four with a winning record in the tournament.
>> Cheyanne Sales enters the challenge riding a seven-game hitting streak, the longest active streak on the team and the longest of her KSU career.
>> Sales also leads the team in hits (8), doubles (4), OPS (1.052) and batting average (.348) this season.
>> University of Alabama transfer Mary Anderson leads the team with four stolen bases in 2022.
>> Pitcher
Emily Perrin leads the team in ERA (3.48) and has posted back-to-back appearances in the circle allowing no earned runs. She has allowed only three hits through her last 5.2 innings pitched.
Familiar Foes
>> ETSU: The Owls lead the all-time series, 12-2 and hold a three-game win streak over the Bucs. KSU won the last meeting 11-3 on Feb. 23, 2020.
>> GSU: The all-time series between the in-state rivals is tied, 16-16 with the Owls winning the last meeting on April 21, 2021 with an 8-0 final.
>> PSU: Penn State leads the series against the Owls, 2-1. The two teams have only met at Bailey Park or a neutral site. KSU won the last meeting in the series with a 2-1 victory on March 1, 2020.
ASUN Rising
The Owls enter 2022 after reaching the ASUN tournament championship game a season ago. KSU was picked to finish second in the conference by coaches from the conference.

Melanie Bennett were named to the preseason ASUN All-Conference team.
2021 Rewind
Head coach
Tripp MacKay leads the squad after closing out the 2021 campaign in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, where the program earned its first victory in a Division I NCAA tournament game, defeating the Auburn Tigers 1-0. The Owls also dominated in the ASUN tournament, making it all the way to the ASUN championship game against the Liberty Flames.
On Deck
The beloved tradition Lexi's Day returns to Bailey Park on Wednesday, March 2 against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
Meal tickets can be purchased by the first 150 fans for $10 each
here. The food will be courtesy of a generous donation by new Lexi's Day partner J.D.'s Barbeque. All proceeds from the meal tickets go directly to the Alexis Kaiser Foundation.
