KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team hosts its 2022 home opener on Sunday as it faces the Oregon Ducks for the first time in school history. The game starts at 1 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Stadium and will be streamed live on ESPN+, with Brandon Sutton and Jordan Griffitt providing the call.

A FEW NOTES

» This is the first meeting between the Ducks and Owls in program history. It will also be just the third-ever game for KSU against a team from the West Coast, as the Owls have played Arizona State twice, falling in both contests.

» Siena Gore is the driving force behind the Owls' scoring production. The midfielder was fourth in the nation in 2021 in goals per game with 4.79, while her 67 total goals were eighth overall in the NCAA. Gore also ranked first in the nation in free position goals per game at 2.36. She opened the 2022 season with a pair of goals in the Owls' road contest at Florida on Feb. 12.

» Graduate transfer McKenzie Jackson accumulated six draw controls in her debut on the road. The attacker was a two-time First-Team All-Sunshine State Conference selection for Embry-Riddle.

» One advantage for Kennesaw State this season, the Owls return nine of 11 starters from last year's squad, and a total of 20 overall players. Sixth-year head coach Laura Maness is hopefully that experience will be an advantage for KSU this season.
