KENNESAW, Ga. – Former Kennesaw State offensive lineman Jake Lassiter has joined the coaching staff as a graduate assistant, head coach Brian Bohannon announced Monday.

"We're very excited to keep Jake in-house and allow him to continue to be a part of what we're building here at Kennesaw State," Bohannon said. "He's a great role model for our team to follow and will have a profound impact in his new role. Jake is a tremendous leader, and his experience will contribute to our offense."

Lassiter was an integral part of the Owls' 2021 Big South championship team, earning first-team all-conference honors and led the team with 808 snaps played. He was the only offensive lineman to start all 11 regular season games.

Before playing in all five games during the spring 2021 season, Lassiter earned first-team all-conference honors in 2019. He played in 13 games and made 12 consecutive starts on the offensive line for the top rushing attack in the country.

Lassiter joined Kennesaw State in 2019 after transferring from Coffeyville Community College and is the son of Rick and Michelle Lassiter with three siblings, Evan, Megan and Riley.
