KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball closes out a two-game homestand when it faces former ASUN rival USC Upstate for the first time in five years on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center. The Owls are a perfect 3-0 at home this season, and have won five straight on their home court dating back to last season.
A FEW NOTES
♦ The all-time series between KSU and the Spartans is the second-longest in KSU history (40 games), and USC Upstate has the overall advantage at 24-16, though KSU has won the last four meetings. The Owls have also won three straight in the series in the Convocation Center.
♦ The Owls recently completed a very successful road trip, posting a 4-3 overall record over the seven games which included a pair of neutral games at the Appalachian State MTE. KSU claimed road wins over Appalachian State, Mercer and Charleston Southern during that stretch, giving the Owls a school-record three non-conference road victories.
♦ Thanks to their 79-55 victory over Georgia College on Saturday, the Owls have clinched the first-ever winning season in non-conference play in the school's Division I history. KSU currently holds a 7-4 mark, with just two games left before league play starts.
♦ This is the first time KSU has won seven games before January as a Division I program.
♦ Tuesday's game is being sponsored by Stand Up Guys Junk Removal.
