KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball ends a seven-game stretch away from home with its first ever trip to San Diego, as the Owls will take on the San Diego State Aztecs on Monday night at 10 pm (EST).
The game will be live streamed for free on the Mountain West Network app, which is available on Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV and Roku devices, as well as online through a link at KSUOwls.com.
A FEW NOTES
♦ If the Aztecs are still ranked on Monday night, this would be the first top-25 opponent for the Owls in three years. KSU is making its first trip to the state of California since a contest at the Cal Bears on Nov. 16, 2014, as part of the 2K Classic. This will also be the Owls' third-ever game against a team from the Mountain West, as KSU is 0-1 against both UNLV and Wyoming.
♦ The Owls' road stretch has been a very successful one, as KSU is 4-2 over the first six games. That includes a road victory at Appalachian State. That victory not only gave KSU its best-ever start in Division I play (4-1), but gave the Owls national attention, as for the first time in program history they received votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll.
♦ Also during the road stretch were road victories at Mercer and Charleston Southern. That set a new school record in Division I play for most road victories in non-conference play with three.
♦ KSU has been very efficient from long range this season, currently ranking 12th in the nation in three-point percentage at 40.4%. The Owls also have excelled at forcing turnovers, as they are 38th in turnover margin, 41st in turnovers forced and 36th in steals per contest.
♦ The Owls have high hopes entering the season, as they return all five starters from last year's squad that set new program highs for both NET and KenPom rankings while coming just one win short of matching the school's Division I win record.
