College Sports Communicators Release
KENNESAW, Ga. – Senior Je'Cory Burks and junior Jahon Myers were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, announced Tuesday.
Burks currently has a 3.54 GPA while working towards his master's degree in cybersecurity. He graduated from Kennesaw State in May with a B.S. in cybersecurity.
He played in all 11 games for the Owls in 2022, recording 36 tackles and eight pass breakups. Burks was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team in 2021.
Myers earned the nomination with a 4.00 GPA as a finance major. The Luella, Ga. native notched 29 tackles in 11 games with 3.0 sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss. He set a career-high with five tackles against Austin Peay on Nov. 12.
