JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Kennesaw State posted its fifth clean sheet of the season as the Owls fought North Florida to a 0-0 draw Wednesday afternoon at Hodges Stadium.
Allanah Blye finished with four saves and the KSU backline kept the Ospreys at bay. Aly Bryan led the KSU attack with four shots and Kendall Higgs added two to pace the Owls.
In a matchup of two of the ASUN Conference's top defensive teams, both squads lived up to the billing in the first half as only six shots were taken by the Owls and Ospreys.
After being limited offensively in the first half, KSU came out in the second half with some adjustments and finished with eight shots in the second half, creating several chances for the go-ahead goal.
Higgs had two great looks early in the second half, just missing wide left on the first attempt and a little high on the second.
Both teams had a few more opportunities in the second half, but both defenses held strong as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
KSU has clinched a spot in the ASUN Conference Tournament and sits tied for fourth with Central Arkansas and Eastern Kentucky with 14 points each.
