KENNESAW, Ga. – For the first time in school history, Kennesaw State will host three straight Power-Five opponents as the Owls open their 2021 home schedule Tuesday night against Alabama at 6 pm in the Convacation Center. Entrance is free for the contest, as they are for all home KSU games except for the annual Griffin's Game fundraiser, which is this Friday.
Kennesaw State comes into Tuesday's home opener riding a two-game win streak, and the Owls will need that momentum on their side as they go up against the Crimson Tide, who bring a 5-1 mark into the contest. Also on schedule this week is the KSU Classic, where the Owls first host 24th-ranked South Carolina on Thursday at 7 pm, followed by a Friday contest against Clemson.
The Owls made a pair of comebacks this past weekend to go 2-0 in the Blazer Invitational, coming from down 1-0 to top Georgia Southern 3-1 on Saturday, before stunning host UAB 3-2 after a 2-0 deficit. This is KSU's first home game of the season, while the Crimson Tide are 3-0 away from their home court.
GRIFFIN'S GAME
KSU's sixth annual Griffin's Game will be this Friday, in their final game in the KSU Classic at 7 pm against Clemson. That also serves as this year's Griffin's Game, the annual fundraiser to help a local family in their fight against childhood cancer. Tickets for the contest are $10, while group tickets are also available. Fans can make donations or buy T-shirts as well to help the cause by clicking here.  Â
