Head coach Benji Walton and his Kennesaw State women's soccer squad are hoping for a quick bounce back against the ACC's Boston College at noon on Sunday in Fifth Third Bank Stadium, as the Owls fell to Georgia State 2-1 in overtime on Friday night.

Goalkeeper Dylan Pixton was magisterial in net, making a total of seven saves in the Kennesaw State goal.

Freshman forward Macie Rainwater became the first Owl to score a second goal this season, expanding on her tally with a late, left-foot finish to send the game to overtime.

First-Time Foes
The Owls welcome the Eagles for the first meeting between the two teams in the programs' history.

Kennesaw State will hope to stamp its record book with its first-ever win against an ACC team, going 0-6-1 in the seven games against the Power Five conference's teams.

The last time KSU faced off against an ACC team was 2013, having lost 1-0 to Duke; the Durham, N.C. team was ranked 12th in the nation at that time.

Durable Dekker
As Walton waits for valuable pieces to fully recover from injuries, one of his Owls has played every-single minute of this season's campaign.

Junior Hayley Dekker's stamina has led her to become the one unchanged component in the Kennesaw State back four this year.

It's not anything that the Columbus, Ga. native isn't used to; the 2019 ASUN All-Freshman selection has been a consistent selection to the starting-11 all three of her years at Kennesaw State.

Next Match
Sunday's game against Boston College is the first of a five-game homestand, which the Owls will continue with a 7 p.m. kickoff on Friday, Sept. 10 against Mercer.
