10 Things To Know Before Gameday

8/26/2021 1:52:00 PM

As Kennesaw State Athletics prepares to welcome fans back to Fifth Third Bank Stadium this fall, here are 10 things to know prior to the football season-opener against Reinhardt University on Thursday, Sept. 2.

  1. OWL WALK
The popular Owl Walk makes its return as a gameday tradition this fall. Welcome the football team to FifthThird Bank Stadium two hours prior to kickoff each game. Led by the KSU cheerleaders and Marching Owls, fans align Busbee Drive near the commuter bus stop and across from the Owls Nest to greet the football team.

  1. OWL TOWN
A free pregame tailgate is back for Owl fans of all ages. Owl Town makes its return this season and will begin two-and-a-half hours before kickoff. Live bands, free food from J.D.'s BBQ, sponsor tents, and more will stretch George Busbee Parkway to add to the gameday atmosphere. For just the Reinhardt game, Owl Town's sponsored tents will be moved inside Fifth Third Bank Stadium after gates open due to the delayed road closure.

  1. THE MARCHING OWLS
A beloved piece of a Kennesaw State gameday and an integral part of the Owl spirit, the Marching Owls, make their triumphant return to Fifth Third Bank Stadium for all KSU home games, and will travel to the Sept. 11 game at Georgia Tech.
