KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's lacrosse head coach Laura Maness announced the addition of Bianca Tedesco as an assistant coach Monday.
Tedesco arrives at KSU after a successful career at Winthrop University. The 2021 graduate had an impressive senior season where she earned first team all-conference honors in the Big South following a 20-goal, 42-assist season. She started all 15 games for the Eagles as a redshirt-senior and finished her career with 22 consecutive starts after missing 2019 with injury.
She also was a nutrition student advisory board member and ambassador program member at Winthrop.
"Bianca will be a great addition to our coaching staff. She was a strong offensive player in college and we will look to her to contribute ideas and mentor our attack players," said head coach Laura Maness. "Additionally, coming from a regional school she already has familiarity with several of our common opponents. I feel that Bianca will be at home right away and able to hit the ground running helping elevate our program!"
Tedesco has been an assistant coach with the Lax Maniax travel lacrosse club since 2017. She arrived at Winthrop following a four-year letter-winning prep career at the Pine Crest School. The Coral Springs, Fla. native was named a first team US Lacrosse All-American in 2015 and 2016.
"Bianca has been a very natural leader on the field for years at Winthrop. She has a very high lacrosse IQ and has been a great mentor to the young offensive players in her later years with us. Her field vision as a player is going to translate very well as she starts her coaching journey," said Winthrop head coach Julika Blankenship. "We simply adore the staff at KSU and am so excited for her to flourish under Coach Maness! Bianca is going to have a great career and I look forward to watching it transpire."
