KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team battled UAB to the very end falling 4-2 on Monday (April. 5) on the Betty Siegel Courts.

Senior Brenna Reilly was honored prior to the match. 
 
The Blazers clinched four singles matches to secure the victory.

In doubles, Taylor Dean and teammate Paola Cortez got the ball rolling on court one with a 6-4 win over Dominika Hrablova and Adela Wasserbave. Sofia Pinedo and Julie Castellanos clinched the point with a 7-5 victory over Maggie White and Alexandrea de Silva on court three.

In singles, UAB picked up three singles matches to take a 3-1 lead over the Owls. Taylor Dean cut into the Blazers lead by one defeating Jana Hecking 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Pinedo was pushed to three sets and was trailing 3-6, 6-4, 4-0 when the match was called.
