Played in 18 matches this season and finished 3-15 in singles competitions playing primarily on courts two and three and 5-7 in doubles competition … Cortez picked up singles wins against Davidson, FGCU and Stetson … Her singles win against the Hatters clinched the match for the Owls for the first time in program history … Cortez was tabbed ASUN Player of the Week following her performance against Stetson … Partnered with Taylor Dean and won three doubles matches against North Florida, UAB and Stetson … Teamed up with Ji Youn Lee, winning two doubles matches against Jacksonville State and Chattanooga primarily on courts one and two.

As a Freshman (2019-20)
Recorded a 1-12 record in singles and was 4-6 in doubles … Teamed up with Taylor Dean at the No. 1 doubles spot and won four consecutive matches against Georgia Southern, Davidson, ASA Miami and UNC Asheville.
