FLORENCE, Ala. -- Tianna Rivera and Erin Harris each scored against North Alabama to give Kennesaw State a 2-1 victory Saturday. With the win, the Owls completed the season sweep over the Lions and enter as the Northern Division's second seed with a home match April 10 in the ASUN Conference quarterfinals.
Kennesaw State (6-7, 5-3 ASUN Conference) got 11 shots off in the match with four of those being on goal. North Alabama (1-8-2, 0-6-2) took eight shots with four of them being on goal as well.
Rivera's goal in the 19th minute came off an assist from Jenna Vollrath, and Harris' team-high fifth score of the season was thanks to an Ashley Burns helper in the 48th minute.
The Owls' sophomore goalkeeper, Dylan Pixton, stood tall in the net as she fought off three shots from the Lions in the victory.
North Alabama's Tay Cavett managed to score at the 48' minute mark in the match.
With the regular season complete, Kennesaw State turns its attention to the ASUN postseason. The to-be-determined opponent will be played on Saturday, April 10 at 2 p.m.
