KSU to Close Out Regular Season Versus Stetson on Sunday

Match Preview
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team is set to host Stetson on April 11 at 10 a.m. on the Betty Siegel Courts for the second meeting of the season.
 
Match Attendance
Due to COVID-19 protocols, attendance will be capped at 60 fans for this season.
 
Mask Up!
Fans are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth during the duration of their time at the Betty Siegel Courts.
 
Scouting Stetson
The Hatters are 6-8 so far this season with a 1-4 record in conference play. Stetson is currently on a four-match losing streak with losses to North Florida and FCGU.
 
The Series
Sunday's match between the two programs will mark the sixteenth meeting between the two programs. The Owls look to secure their first win over the Hatters.
 
The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team battled UAB to the very end falling 4-2 on Monday (April. 5) on the Betty Siegel Courts.
 
The Blazers clinched four singles matches to secure the victory.
 
In doubles, Taylor Dean and teammate Paola Cortez got the ball rolling on court one with a 6-4 win over Dominika Hrablova and Adela Wasserbave. Sofia Pinedo and Julie Castellanos clinched the point with a 7-5 victory over Maggie White and Alexandrea de Silva on court three.
 
In singles, UAB picked up three singles matches to take a 3-1 lead over the Owls. Taylor Dean cut into the Blazers lead by one defeating Jana Hecking 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Pinedo was pushed to three sets and was trailing 3-6, 6-4, 4-0 when the match was called.
 
Next Up
The Owls will compete in the ASUN tournament quarterfinals on Saturday, April 17. The opponent and location is yet to be determined.
