Top 25 History

KENNESAW, Ga. - Following a bye weekend, Kennesaw State remained in the top-10 program according to the STATS Perform FCS top-25 poll released Monday afternoon.

At No. 9 in the country, the Owls find themselves ranked in the top 25 for the 38th straight poll dating back to Oct. 30 of the 2017 season, giving Kennesaw State 1,225 consecutive days in the national rankings.

KSU opened the season Feb. 27 with a 35-3 victory against Shorter University. The Owls scored 35 unanswered points to knock off the Hawks and improved to 5-1 all-time in home openers while picking up their 13th consecutive non-conference regular season home win. The KSU defense flexed its muscles by not allowing a single yard in the second and third quarters and allowed just 43 yards after the first frame.

Since its inception as a program in 2015, 75 national polls have been released with the Owls appearing in over 50-percent of the rankings. Of those 75 polls, Kennesaw State has been inside the top-10 44-percent of the time.

The season continues Saturday, March 13 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium against Charleston Southern University with a 1 p.m. start. The game serves as the Big South Conference opener, where KSU begins its quest for its third Big South title in four seasons.
