GREENVILLE, SC. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team fell 6-1 at No. 23 Furman on Saturday.
The Paladins won the doubles point and five singles matches to secure the victory.
In doubles,
Paola Cortez and
Ji Youn Lee were leading their match 5-4 on court two when FUR clinched the point.
In singles, KSU was paced by
Soomin Kim and Lee. Lee picked up the only singles win for KSU in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 over Mary Ann Rompf at No. 3. Kim took her match at No. 6 to a third set before falling 6-1, 6-2, 1-0 to Ilayda Baykan.
The Owls travel to Clemson, South Carolina to face Clemson on Sunday, February 28 at 5 p.m.
