Match Preview
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team heads to Greenville, SC. on Friday to face No. 23 Furman and will travel to Clemson, SC. on Saturday to take on the Tigers. The Owls have won their last two matches against Jacksonville State and Georgia State.

Scouting Furman
The Paladins have won six of their last seven matchups. They have beaten wins against four schools from power-five conferences including Alabama, Wake Forest, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

Scouting Clemson
The Tigers have lost three of their last five matches. Jenna Thompson leads the Tigers with an 8-3 record in singles action.

The Series
Friday's matchup will be the first matchup between KSU and Furman. Sunday's Meeting between KSU and CU will be the second between the two programs. Clemson secured a 7-0 victory on Jan. 25, 2020. Â

The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team defeated Georgia State 4-3 on Tuesday (Feb. 23) on the Betty Siegel Courts. The win was the Owls first over the Panthers in program history.
Georgia State would pick up the doubles point and grab a 1-0 lead.
Paola Cortez and
Ji Youn Lee were up 5-1 when the doubles point was clinched.
Sofia Pinedo got the Owls on the board in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 over Maddy Frediani on court five. KSU took the lead when
Ji Youn Lee defeated Ellie Aldrich 6-0, 6-1 on court three.
Soomin Kim extended the lead on court six when she got past Alexia Alvarez 6-1, 6-2. The Panthers would pick up two more on courts two and four to the match at 3-3.
Taylor Dean clinched the third set tiebreaker over Eva Chivu 4-6, 6-4, 9-7 to secure the win for the Owls.

The Owls host Chattanooga on Sunday (Mar. 7) at 4 p.m. on the Betty Siegel Courts.
