KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State lacrosse head coach
Laura Maness announced a school-record 13-member signing class that will be playing for the Owls starting in the spring of 2023.
This year's signing class includes:
Erin Barnes | MID/DEF | Garnet Valley, Pa. | Garnet Valley HS
Barnes helped her team to the state semi-finals and district runner-up honors. She also plays club lacrosse for NXT LC and is a two-time tournament champion.
Makenzie Butler | G | Garnet Valley, Pa. | Garnet Valley HS
In high school, Butler helped her team to a 2021 district runner-up finish in and three state tournament qualifiers. As a goalie, she averaged a save percentage of .420. Butler plays club lacrosse for NXT LC.
Lauren Dobbs | MID | Dacula, Ga. | Mill Creek HS
Dobbs helped Mill Creek High School to the 2021 region championship and led the team with 46 goals, 34 draw controls, 32 ground balls and 12 assists. In 2019, she was a part of the region championship and state runner-up team. During her high school career, she has earned first-team all-county midfielder, second-team all-state midfielder, and all-county Leadership Award honors. Dobbs plays club lacrosse for Southern Zone, the 38th-ranked club in the country.
Erika Eggers | ATK | Flower Mound, Tex. | Flower Mound HS
At Flower Mound High School, Eggers earned an Attack Player of the Year Award and was team captain from 2019-2021. She plays club lacrosse for 214 Lacrosse.
Shannon Harrington | MID | Port Jefferson Station, N.Y. | Comsewogue HS
Named to the L.U. Lax Journal Class of 2022 Watch List, as well as the Under Armour Callback, Under Armour 150 and Nike Elite 102 Lists. Harrintgon helped the Long Island Yellow Jackets to the 2021 Mid Atlantic Summer Club championship, and the team to a top-20 US Club final ranking.
Melissa Kelemencky | DEF | Marietta, Ga. | Lassiter HS
From nearby Marietta, Kelemencky helped Lassiter High to the 2021 state playoffs. She is also a member of the Atlanta Storm club team that won the Top Treat tournament championships in 2021.
Gabrielle Montegari | MID/DEF | Mahwah, N.J. | Immaculate Heart Academy
Montegari has won Stars and Stripes first-team all-league and B.C.W.C.A. second team honors. She helped her team earn the 2021 Bergen county finalist and 2021 state finalist accolades in addition to a 2019 State sectional championship. Montegari scored 12 goals with five assists, 45 ground balls, eight draw controls and forced 40 turnovers. She plays club lacrosse for North Mad Dog Lacrosse.
Devon Nee | DEF | Lancaster, Pa. | Manheim Township HS
As a senior in high school, Nee won academic all-star honors and was named a team captain for both lacrosse and field hockey. She also won first-team all-star for lacrosse and field hockey her junior year. Nee plays club lacrosse for 2022 Red Xtreme Lacrosse.
Jordyn Olivo | ATK/MID | Buford, Ga. | Buford HS
In 2021, Olivo made first team all-county attack, first team all-state attack, and was a Division I Varsity Georgia All-Star selection. She was named to the Puerto Rico women's national team for the Pan-American World Games qualifier, and again in 2020 to the training roster for the World Games. In her career, she has scored 99 goals and tallied 28 assists. Olivo plays club lacrosse for the Eagle Stix 2022 Blue that was ranked the No. 1 club team in Georgia.
Leyton Payne | ATK | St. Augustine, Fla. | Bartram Trail HS
In high school, Payne earned Florida First Coast all-district honors, in addition to the B.T.H.S. Spirit of the Bear Coaches Award in 2021. She helped lead the team to a district championship, a region championship, and the state tournament final four qualifier. She has played club lacrosse for Storm Select Lacrosse and Grizzlies Lacrosse.
Aislinn Pendergast | MID | Dacula, Ga. | Mill Creek HS
Pendergast earned second team all-county honors after posting 14 goals and 24 ground balls. She played for Eagle Stix, the No. 8 ranked team in the US and top ranked team in Georgia.
Flynn Prengaman | ATK/MID | Severna Park, Md. | Severna Park HS
Prengaman played club lacrosse for Maryland United Lacrosse, where she led the team in goals, turnovers, and draw controls. At Severna Park High School, she helped the varsity team reach the regional playoffs, and was selected as The Voice Newspaper Severna Park Student-Athlete of the Month Minds in Motion Scholar Athlete.
Allison White | MID | Coronado, Calif. | Coronado HS
White won Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and led her team in caused turnovers per game (1) and points per game (3.5). She started every game at midfield from her freshman season through her junior season. White also won Rookie of the Year as a freshman and was selected for the U.S. Women's Lacrosse National Tournament (Southern California Regional Team), as well as the Under Armor 150 in July 2020.
