KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball is back in action for the first time in a week with a Saturday night road contest at Samford. The game tips off at 7 pm (ET) in the Pete Hanna Center, and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

A FEW NOTES
-The Owls are looking for their first road win of the season, while Samford is 4-1 on its home court this season, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Belmont. However, Samford needed to really in its last home game for a 52-50 victory over Alabama A&M, while the Owls are coming in off a 24-point home victory against Voorhees College.
-This will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two, and KSU will be looking for its first-ever won on the Bulldogs' home court. Samford leads the all-time series 3-2, and have won the past two matchups.
-KSU has played a challenging non-conference schedule through the first 10 games, which currently ranks as the 29th toughest schedule in the nation. The Owls' six losses have come at the hands of Iowa State, Creighton, Belmont, Wake Forest, Mercer and Wofford. Those six schools have a combined 51-15 record (through Dec. 16), while ISU has moved into the Top-25 rankings at 11th.
-Kennesaw State is looking for a turnaround year this season, after bringing back over 90% over its scoring production and total minutes from last season. The Owls rank 16th in the nation in both categories, bringing back 93.7% of its total points and 91.8% of its total minutes.
-KSU's experience is paying off on the offensive side, as the Owls' 75.6 ppg average through the first 10 games is its most-ever in the team's Division I history and is ahead of the current school record of 75.0 ppg, set in the 2016-17 season. If you take out the Owls' two wins over non-DI competition, KSU is still averaging 68.2 ppg, its most in its first seven games of the year since the 2016-17 squad averaged 75.1 points on the way to an eventual 14-18 record.
