KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State had 13 players score and hit nine from three-point range on the way to an 80-56 home victory over Voorhees College Saturday afternoon from the Convocation Center. The win improved the Owls to 4-6 overall for the season.
OWL OF THE GAME: Junior forward Demond Robinson tied his career-high with 16 points, which is also his high mark as an Owl. He finished 6-of-9 from the floor, 4-of-4 at the line and added seven rebounds.

FIRST HALF: KSU never trailed in the game and used its outside shooting to open up a 13-2 edge, thanks to a pair of treys from Youngblood and Isaiah Reddish's first three-pointer as an Owl. Voorhees would rally, going on a 13-2 run of its own to knot the score at 15-15 with 9:10 to play. A Terrell Burden put KSU back with the lead and ignited a 9-0 spurt for the Owls for a 24-15 advantage. After Voorhees scored five straight to close within 31-25, KSU scored the final five points to claim a 39-25 halftime advantage.
SECOND HALF: Voorhees cut the edge to 15 twice in the second and then to 51-35 with 12:44 to play. KSU then put the game away thanks to a 21-4 run over the next seven minutes. QUOTEABLE: "Anytime you can get a win you try to get positives out of it, I thought the guys did a great job of rebounding the ball today, and of sharing the ball. I was really proud of Cole and Demond in the second half, I thought those guys gave us a presence on the inside that we've been looking for, and they played to their capabilities. Over the last few games it's been hard to find that inside presence, and I thought both those guys did a great job tonight establishing themselves inside today." – Head Coach Amir Abdur-Rahim
