A FEW NOTES
♦ This will be the Owls' first game since Tuesday's loss at Wake Forest. CSU meanwhile played two road games at ACC schools this week, falling 85-70 at Georgia Tech on Monday and 91-59 at Clemson on Friday.
♦ The two teams have a common opponent in currently undefeated Wake Forest. CSU first lost to the Demon Deacons by 36 (95-59) on Nov. 17, a game in which the Buccaneers trailed 47-24 at the half. KSU meanwhile dropped a 92-61 contest, but were within 13 at the break and with 10 minutes left in the game before a Demon Deacon run would extend the lead.
♦ The Owls are featuring a balanced attack this season, with five players averaging in double-figures, led by sophomore
Chris Youngblood's 13.2 ppg.
♦  CSU has played four D1 teams and have been outscored by an average of 27 in the four losses.
♦  Kennesaw State is looking for a turnaround year this season, after bringing back over 90% over its scoring production and total minutes from last season. The Owls rank 16th in the nation in both categories, bringing back 93.7% of its total points and 91.8% of its total minutes.
♦  KSU's experience is paying off on the offensive side, as the Owls' 75.6 ppg average through the first six games is its most-ever in the team's Division I history. If you take out the Owls' two wins over non-DI competition, KSU is still averaging 64 ppg, its most in its first four games of the year since the 2016-17 squad averaged 77.5 points on the way to an eventual 14-18 record.
