Both teams are tied in the league standings, which means that the winner of Friday's contest will be the second seed from the East division in next week's ASUN Tournament. UNF meanwhile is looking to avenge its loss to the Owls last month in Kennesaw, a 3-1 victory in the Convocation Center. The Owls then close out the road trip with a Saturday night, 7 pm contest at Jacksonville, who brings a 1-13 record into the weekend in league play and is already eliminated from the conference tournament.
The Owls are riding high thanks to Sunday's upset victory over FGCU, as KSU handed the Eagles their first loss in league play thanks to the 3-1 victory in Kennesaw. That snapped FGCU's 15-game win streak, and moved the Owls' win streak to nine games, which is the 10th-longest active win streak in the nation.

RECORD-SETTING OCTOBER
The Owls was one of the hottest teams in the nation in the month of October after posting an 8-1 record over the nine games. Not only did that include a current seven-game win streak, but the eight total wins were the most ever by the Owls in the month of October.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Super senior Lauren Chastang has done it all this season, as despite limited by injuries for several games earlier this season, is one of two players with over 300 kills while averaging 3.41 per set. She leads the team in aces with 43, as well as double-doubles (10). Another Owl having a great season is junior Emma Schufranz with a team-high 317 kills (4.24 per set) and a .265 hitting percentage. Senior Bri Becerra meanwhile is posting a team-high 3.03 digs per game and Claire Parsons is averaging a team-best 1.18 blocks per set.

SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
North Florida had a two-game lead on the Owls earlier this conference season, but thanks to the Owls win in October combined with UNF's loss to FGCU, the Ospreys bring an 11-3 league record (22-5 overall) into Friday's big match. UNF has been almost unbeatable in their home arena this season, having won 11 of 12 matches coming into their final two home games of the season.
Darina Hollingsworth-Santana remains the top offensive threat for UNF with 3.12 kills per set and a team-high 376.5 points. Gabby O'Connell is another standout this season with 202 kills (1.96 per set).

SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
This season has been a struggle for Jacksonville, as the Dolphins have lost their last 11 games coming into the weekend. Only once has JU taken a team to five sets as well, in its lone ASUN win (3-2 at Bellarmine on Sept. 26).
Pacing JU this season on offense has been Isa Dostal (157 kills) and Kyndal Stansberry (150 kills).

OWLS RACKING UP WEEKLY ACCOLADES
Kennesaw State has been making a lot of noise with its six-game win streak, and several players have been recognized as well for their performances as the Owls have picked up a total of four ASUN Players of the Week honors over the past four weeks.
Most recently it was Lauren Chastang picking up honors, as she was named Player of the Week first on Oct. 26 and then again on Nov. 8 after leading the Owls to a 2-0 weekend that included the home upset victory over first-place FGCU.
She joined Emma Schurfranz and Claire Parsons, who were named ASUN Player and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, after carrying KSU to victories over Jacksonville and North Florida at home on Oct. 15 and 17.
