The Kennesaw State women's soccer team continues its campaign for the ASUN Championship after qualifying for the playoffs as the third seed from the east.

The Owls take on the Sugar Bears of Central Arkansas in the quarterfinals on Friday afternoon, replaying the fixture that gave fans a thrilling overtime show earlier in the season.

KSU's half of the bracket will be played in Fort Myers, Fla., with FGCU hosting two matches at its soccer complex.

Last Time Out
Friday's match marks nearly a month since these two teams last met, with the Owls winning 4-3 in overtime on Sept. 30.

After finding themselves down early off an 18th-minute goal from the Sugar Bears, Jenna Vollrath made it to the endline before sending the ball in for a Ebony Clarke goal.

Macie Rainwater made it 2-1 after she was found by a beautiful pass over the top from Agata Giani, with the freshman chipping a shot to the back post.

The match was equalized by Central Arkansas early in the second half, but for mere minutes; Kendall Higgs scored off of an unbelievable strike, finding the top corner with a half volley to retake the lead.

The Sugar Bears would find an answer again in the 79th minute, sending the match into overtime.

The free soccer would only last 35 seconds as Clarke headed in the golden goal from a Kathryn Schreck cross.

ASUN Shine
The ASUN announced its All-Conference and All-Freshman teams on Thursday afternoon, with five different Owls named to the two squads.

Clarke was the lone Owl in the All-Conference First Team, with Higgs and Erin Miller named in the second team.

Rainwater and Aila Swinton were both named in the All-Freshman Team.

Scouting Central Arkansas
Head coach Benji Walton and the Owls need to watch out for Central Arkansas midfielder Emma Hawkins, who ended the regular season as the most prolific player in the ASUN.

The Texan finished her campaign with 13 goals, seven assists and 33 points, ranking first among ASUN players in all three categories.

The junior scored six goals in the last eight matches of her season.

Next Match
After the quarterfinal, the Owls will advance to the semifinal with a win against UCA. The semifinal will be played in Fort Myers, Fla. on Sunday, Oct. 31 with a win.
