TOP STORYLINES
» The Kennesaw State men's basketball team hosts Lipscomb for its second annual Pink Day game this Saturday. The Owls will tip-off following the women's basketball game at 2 p.m., looking for their first win of the ASUN slate.

» Bryson Lockley almost had his third double-double of the season in KSU's last outing at North Florida, finishing with a team-high 15 points and six rebounds in only 26 minutes of action. Lockley opened ASUN play with a double-double against the Ospreys, logging a career-high 23 points and 11 rebounds. He is one of two Owls to average over four rebounds (4.8) and five points (7.8) per game. Lockley also leads the team and ranks tied for ninth in the league with 13 blocks.

» Tyler Hooker had his 11-game double-digit scoring streak snapped at North Florida. Despite that, Hooker still leads the Owls and ranks seventh in the ASUN averaging 13.8 points per game. In the previous 11-game streak, he netted over 20 points four times, recording a season-high 30 against Jacksonville. In conference play alone, Hooker is averaging 15.7 points per game.

» The Owls are one of four teams this year to shoot over 70 percent from the free throw line. Both Tyler Hooker (7th) and Bryson Lockley (10th) rank among the conference's top-10 for free throw percentage. If KSU can maintain its 70 percent shooting from the stripe, it would mark only the second time in DI history KSU would finish a season shooting over 70 percent at the free throw line.

» Jamie Lewis has been a welcome addition to the Owls' lineup after gaining eligibility in late December. The Wake Forest transfer has netted 10 or more points in six appearances, including a three-game stretch of 20+ points in the opening games of ASUN play. Lewis is the only other Owl to average double-digits on the year, averaging 10.8 points per game.

THE MASKED SCORER
Redshirt senior Tyler Hooker made his triumphant return in KSU's game against Lipscomb sporting some new headgear after missing four games due to an orbital fracture.

Hooker did not lose a step, netting 24 points against the Bisons. He has scored 10 or more points in all but four games this year, including four games with 20+ points during his previous 11-game streak. His 30 points in KSU's recent game against Jacksonville was the first time an Owl has netted 30 or more points since Hooker tied the single-game record with 36 points against Stetson last season.

He is currently averaging 13.8 points per game to rank seventh in the ASUN. Hooker also leads all active players with 29 assists and 21 steals while third for rebounds per game (4.3).

The Simpsonville, S.C., product reached 1,000 career points scored last season, and with 1,325 points in his career he is just the 10th player in DI history to record over 1,300 career points.

One of the Owls most formidable free throw shooters, he is 70-of-87 at the line this season for an 80.5 shooting percentage at the stripe. Hooker ranks seventh in the ASUN for shooting percentage and fourth for made free throws.

With 351 made free throws during his KSU career, Hooker is one of five Owls in DI history to make over 300 free throws, currently ranked second on the career record list.

THE CAVALRY HAS ARRIVED
Wake Forest transfer Jamie Lewis has provided a much-needed spark for KSU since becoming eligible against Wofford. Throughout his 11 games played Lewis is averaging 28.2 minutes, 10.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Lewis is one of two players on the team to average double-digit points so far this year, having netted 10 or more points in six games including three games with 20 or more points.

He had one of the best games of his young career in KSU's outing at Lipscomb, nearly recording a double-double. Lewis earned career-highs for both scoring (24) and rebounds (8) while adding two assists and two steals.

The Atlanta, Ga., native has logged three three-pointers in four games, going 14-of-32 from beyond the arc so far this year. He leads the team shooting 43.8 percent from three-point range and is one of five Owls with at least 10 made treys on the year.

LOCKED DOWN
Redshirt senior Bryson Lockley has done it all for KSU, averaging 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game to make him one of only two Owls to average over five points and four rebounds per game this year. He also leads the team with 13 blocks while ranked second for assists (26) and steals (18).

Lockley's 13 blocks this year puts him in a tie for ninth in the ASUN standings.

The Houston, Texas native had arguably one of the best games of his career, recording his second double-double of the season in KSU's ASUN opener against North Florida. Lockley logged a career-high 23 points, 17 in the second half alone, to go along with 11 rebounds. He is the only player this year to record a double-double, with his first coming against Gardner-Webb (17 points and 12 rebounds).

FREE NINETY NINE
The Owls have been on point from the free throw line so far this season, ranked fourth in the ASUN with a .700 shooting percentage. KSU has shot over 80 percent from the stripe in six games this year.

Tyler Hooker (80.5 percent) and Bryson Lockley (75.0 percent) rank seventh and 10th, respectively in the ASUN. Five Owls are currently shooting over 70 percent from the charity stripe.

If the Owls maintain their current shooting percentage it would rank second in KSU DI single-season history while marking only the second time in DI history the Owls would finish a season shooting over 70 percent from the stripe.

THE FILM ROOM
Lipscomb comes to the Convocation Center looking to climb the ASUN standings and break out of the four-way tie for fifth with a 4-6 league record. The Bisons are coming off a close 73-71 victory at North Alabama Thursday night.

Lipscomb is led across the board by sophomore Ahsan Asadullah who averages 16.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game along with 81 assists, 27 blocks and 24 steals. He ranks in the top-10 in the ASUN for each category and in the top-3 for points, rebounds and assists.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following the Owls' lone game of the week, they close out their homestand next Thursday (Feb. 13) hosting FGCU before opening their final road swing of the season at Stetson Saturday (Feb. 15).
