KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State head football coach Brian Bohannon added three players on 2020 National Signing Day after signing 15 during the early signing period, which completed the #EAT20NE class, Kennesaw State's seventh class in program history.

The 18 signees look to continue Kennesaw State Football's unprecedented success as the first program in college football history to win 48 games in its first five years of existence. This class boasts its diversity, as signees from six different states are represented. Homegrown Georgia talent remains a priority for Bohannon with 10 players hailing from the Peach State.

The class is weighted towards the offensive side of the ball, with 10 offensive players and seven defensive players. The Owls also welcome a kicker to round out the 18 signees.

Bohannon on the signing class
"After the early signing period, the mid-year enrollees and the kids we signed today, we have 18 kids coming to campus. This is the best class we have had since we have been here and the camaraderie among this class is also probably the best we have had. We have touched nearly every position on our football team and we have continued to build the lines of scrimmage, which is always going to be an emphasis for us. I am really excited about this group and what they are going to bring to our program."

Bohannon on the academic success of the class
"At Kennesaw State, we want you to be successful is all three phases of being a student-athlete- in the classroom, on the field and in your personal life. We emphasize all three phases and we look at each aspect in recruiting. We have some really strong academic kids in this class. Developing kids is what we are all about here. The coaching staff takes every player's strengths and weaknesses and makes an effort to maximize every player's potential."

No other start-up program in college football history has more wins in its first five seasons than Kennesaw State with 48 victories. The Owls surpassed Georgia Southern (47) and Old Dominion (46) during the final three weeks of the season.

Bohannon is seventh in Big South history with 48 career coaching wins, and became the fastest Big South coach to win 45 games when he reached the benchmark with KSU's 38-35 win over Campbell on Nov. 9, 2019.
