Today, we get to know Sarah Ogoke, a two-time NAIA All-American and Southern States Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Ogoke was part of two NAIA National Tournament teams during her tenure with the SPSU women's basketball team.

KENNESAW, Ga. - Four new members will be inducted into the Kennesaw State Athletics Hall of Fame when the Department of Athletics holds its annual induction ceremony on Friday.
This year's class will include Cambria McKay (softball; 2001-06),
Felecia Mulkey (competitive cheer coach; 1997-2009), Sarah Ogoke (SPSU women's basketball; 2012-14) and
Phil Zenoni (men's basketball coach; 1985-96).
Today, we profile Sarah Ogoke.
Sarah Ogoke played two seasons as a starting guard at Southern Polytechnic State University from 2012-14. While at SPSU she was a crucial part in leading the Runnin' Hornets to two NAIA Division I national tournament berths and a Southern States Athletic Conference Eastern Division championship in 2014.
In her first season at SPSU, Ogoke led the team in scoring (18.9 ppg.) and rebounds (279, 9.6 rpg.) while tallying 2.7 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per game to help propel the Hornets to a 25-6 record. Her standout season earned her a spot on the 2013 WBCA NAIA Coaches' All-America Team Honorable Mention list as well as SSAC Defensive Player of Year and Newcomer of Year accolades. Ogoke was also named a 2013 NAIA Third Team All-American.
In 2014, Ogoke continued to shine leading SPSU across the board in scoring (451 points, 17.4 ppg.), field goals made (145), three-point field goals made (43), three-point field goal percentage (40.2), free throws made (118), free throw percentage (81.9), defensive rebounds (159, 6.1 drpg.) and assists (83, 3.2 apg.). SPSU finished the 2013-14 season with a 23-8 overall record, winning the SSAC Eastern Division Championship and earning its second straight appearance in the NAIA DI National Tournament. Following the season, Ogoke earned her second straight SSAC First Team All-Conference honor while being named an NAIA Second Team All-American.
Ogoke concluded her career with over 1,000 points scored in her two seasons, averaging 18.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.4 steals a game.
After graduating, Ogoke went on to play professionally overseas for four seasons while representing the Nigerian Senior National Team. While playing for the D'Tigress, Ogoke has helped lead the squad to a 2015 Pan Africa Games Silver Medal, a 2015 FIBA African Cup of Nations Bronze Medal and its first ever FIBA World Cup victory in 2018. The Nigerian National Team finished in the top eight in the 2018 FIBA World Cup. Ogoke and the back-to-back FIBA African Cup of Nations Champions (2017 and 2019) Nigeria can be seen next summer in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Apart from her skills on the court, Ogoke has continued to push herself in the classroom, beginning her first year of Podiatric Medical School this year at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
