KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State University soccer team defeated Charleston Southern University, 2-1, Friday afternoon at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Carly Pressgrove had the game-winning goal for KSU with a perfect header off of a corner from Kendall Higgs at 57:48.
Kameron Downs scored a last-minute goal for the Owls (5-2-0) before halftime. Downs' shot landed beautifully in the back of the net with the assist from goalkeeper Tiffany Sornpao.
Zari Hayes gave the Buccaneers (2-3-0) an early lead with a goal in the twelfth minute. Dakota Fiedler had the assist.
KSU had 25 shots with 11 shots on goal. CSU only had two shots with one on goal.
The Owls' next game is on the road at Oklahoma State Thurs, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
