KENNESAW, Ga. – As the Kennesaw State football team prepares for its season opener on Aug. 31, here are five things every Owl fan needs to know before making your way to Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Â
There are plenty of ways to secure your tickets for the 2019 season, including season tickets, a flex plan, military appreciation discounts, young alumni packages, single game tickets and FREE student tickets. For more details and to purchase tickets, visitÂ
KSUOwls.com/Tickets or call the ticket office at 470-578-4849. Student tickets are FREE and can enter the stadium by scanning their student ID at Gate A.
Â
1. Find your Parking Spot! (Parking Map and Details)
As you make your way to the game, make sure you know where you are headed and how to get there. To purchase parking before you arrive
click here. KSU also offers shuttle services through the Big Owl Bus. Shuttles run three and a half hours prior to the game and stop running two hours after the game. All shuttles drop-off and pick-up at the CCT Bus Stop, located on George Busbee Drive outside Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Public handicap parking is available in the Black Lot on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be advised handicap parking spaces are limited. A valid state issued handicap-parking placard and a parking pass for the Black Lot is required for entry. If a patron did not pre-purchase a parking pass for the Black Lot they will be charged the $15 game day parking price upon entering the lot. Please reference the parking map for handicap/ADA parking location. Ownership of the valid state issued handicap-parking placard is subject to verification.Â
Â
2. Owl Town is the place to be!
Owl Town is a free tailgate open to the public that begins three hours prior to kickoff. Located at the Owls Nest, which is off Busbee Dr. and across from the Gold Lot, Owl Town provides a fun and festive atmosphere for all ages. Every game will feature live music, a variety of vendors, and there will be inflatable fun for children. Be sure to arrive early because thanks to J.D.'s Bar-B-Que, Owl Town has free food to the first 200 fans! Alcohol, soft drinks and water will be available for sale. Owl Town closes 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
Â
3. Don't miss the Owl Walk!
The Owl Walk has quickly become one of the favorite tailgate traditions at Kennesaw State as fans welcome Coach Bohannon and the team two hours before kickoff. The team will be dropped off on Busbee Drive at the entrance to the green lot and make its way toward the stadium. Owl Town is adjacent to the Owl Walk, so arrive early and line the streets two hours before kickoff to welcome the team!
Â
4. Know Your Gate!
As you enjoy your tailgate, keep in mind that gates to Fifth Third Bank Stadium open 60 minutes before kickoff. Make plans to arrive early, get in your seat, enjoy warmups and cheer on the Owls at kickoff!
Â
Gate A: All guests and students (Yes, this is the NEW STUDENT GATE!)
Gate B: All guests, premium ticket holders and player guests.
Â
5. Food Trucks are Back!
Once fans are inside Fifth Third Bank Stadium, food trucks will be accessible on both sides of the stadium. This will alleviate lines at the concession stands and provide fans with different food options. On Aug. 31, Yom food truck will be in the stadium, offering fans "a healthy fast casual eatery that uses real whole foods, crafted to be real yummy!"
