KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team and Head Coach Laura Maness are excited to announce the addition of Graduate Assistant Coach Megan Hartnett.

"I'm excited to join the staff at Kennesaw State," said Hartnett. "After meeting everyone, it seemed like a very welcoming staff all over, not just within the lacrosse staff itself. I'm excited to get the opportunity to coach, I've always been, what I think to be, a natural leader so I've always enjoyed helping others and pushing others to be the best that they can be."

Hartnett joins the Owls after four seasons as a starter in midfield for the University of Alabama Huntsville. Originally from Sun Prairie, Wis., Hartnett lit it up for the Chargers, ranking second in program history for career assists (37), ground balls (145) and caused turnovers (54).

"We are very excited to have Megan join our staff," said Head Coach Laura Maness. "She brings a lot of energy and passion to the team. She was a crucial part of a very talented team at Alabama-Huntsville and we can't wait to see what she will do here at Kennesaw State."

A four-time Gulf South Conference All-Academic selection, Hartnett helped lead UAH to its first GSC Championship title in 2019.

Hartnett has also been an Assistant Coach on the Alabama Blast Lacrosse Club for the past four years. While at KSU, Hartnett will help coach on both the offensive and defensive sides of the field.

She graduated from UAH in 2019 with a degree in Kinesiology.
