KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State softball team dropped a pair of games during Day 2 of the Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament Saturday at Bailey Park.

The Owls (1-3) fell 7-2 to Ohio in their first contest of the day before suffering an 8-0, six-inning defeat to Eastern Illinois in the nightcap.

Seniors
Hannah Thomason (4-for-6) and
Kira Czyrklis (3-for-5, 2 RBIs) led Kennesaw State offensively, with Czyrklis driving in both runs versus Ohio.

NOTEWORTHY
- The Owls were hurt by walks and errors on Saturday as KSU pitchers issued eight bases on balls and were further victimized by six errors that resulted in eight unearned runs over the two games.
- Seniors Kira Czyrklis and Maddie Roth have hit safely in all four games, with Czyrklis producing three multiple-hit games and Roth collecting two.
- Through four games, 14 different players have had plate appearances and 11 individuals have at least one hit.
