TOP STORYLINES
» The Kennesaw State men's basketball team closes out its home non-conference slate Sunday afternoon, hosting Wofford at 2 p.m. This will mark the first time since 1986 that the Owls and Terriers will face off on the hardwood. Wofford is in the midst of a four-game road trip, defeating No. 16 North Carolina before falling to No. 4 Duke heading into Sunday's matchup.

» The Owls look to bounce back after dropping their last two road games to the top-tier of the OVC in Murray State and Belmont. KSU's lone win of the year came in its last home outing, defeating Gardner-Webb 85-61. The Owls have only had two home games this year, netting 80 or more points in both games with a +21 scoring margin.

» Tyler Hooker has been a force for the Owls as of late, netting double-digits in five straight games, including two with 20 or more points. The Simpsonville, S.C., product netted 12 of his 15 points at Belmont in the second half alone. His current 12.5 points per game average puts him at 10th in the ASUN.

» After recording his first double-double of the year against Gardner-Webb, Bryson Lockley continues to be a consistent presence across the board for KSU. He is currently the only active player to average over five rebounds and five points per game. He currently leads the team in steals (10) while ranked second for blocks (5) and third for assists (13). He ranks 13th in the conference averaging 5.4 rebounds per game.

» Despite being out-rebounded by Murray State, the Owls have picked up the tempo underneath the rim, out-rebounding seven of their last eight opponents. KSU is currently averaging 36.8 boards per game to rank second in the ASUN. Three Owls, Armani Harris (7th), Antonio Spencer (11th) and Bryson Lockley (13th) currently rank among the conference's top-15 for rebounds per game.

» Sophomore Pietro Agostini has earned significant minutes in the last two games. He led the team with a career-high eight rebounds at Murray State before netting a career-high eight points at Belmont. Agostini has recorded at least five rebounds in the last three straight games.

GOT YOU HOOKED
After being held scoreless against Iona, redshirt senior Tyler Hooker has bounced back with a vengeance, hitting double-figures in the last five straight games, 20 or more in two of those games. Following his back-to-back 20-point games, including a season-high 27 against Gardner-Webb, Hooker has pushed his scoring average to 12.5 points per game to rank 10th in the ASUN.

Hooker has logged 20 or more points 15 times throughout his career, including 11 times last season to finish the year second in the ASUN averaging 19 points per game.

The Simpsonville, S.C., product reached 1,000 career points scored last season. With 1,215 points in his career, he needs just 53 more points this year to crack the KSU career top-10. He is currently one of seven players in the ASUN to be a member of the 1,000 points club.

Off the ball, Hooker has been very productive this season, leading the team with 17 assists while ranked second with seven steals.

One of the Owls most formidable free throw shooters, he is 39-of-46 at the line this season for an 84.8 shooting percentage at the stripe. Hooker ranks sixth in the ASUN for shooting percentage and fourth for made free throws. He has only missed more than one free throw in a game once this year, going 5-of-7 against FIU.

With 320 made free throws during his KSU career, Hooker is one of five Owls in DI history to make over 300 free throws, currently ranked third on the career record list.

PUT IT ON THE BOARD
The Owls have picked up their aggressiveness underneath the rim, recording 40 or more rebounds in four of the last seven games. KSU's current 36.8 rebounds per game average ranks second in the ASUN and if maintained would set a new DI single-season record.

Four Owls are currently averaging at least four rebounds per game with Armani Harris (7th), Antonio Spencer (11th) and Bryson Lockley (13th) ranking among the conference's top-15 for rebounds per game.

KSU began the year with a -5.0 rebounding margin after the first three games of the season and have since either tied or out-rebounded opponents in seven of the last eight games, including a +13 rebounding advantage at Elon. The Owls now have a +0.6 rebounding margin on the year.

GOT IT ON LOCK
Redshirt senior Bryson Lockley has done it all so far this season, averaging 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds to become the only Owl to average over five points and five rebounds per game this year. He also leads the team with 10 steals while ranked second with five blocks. The Houston, Texas native is one of four Owls to record double-digit assists so far this year with 13.

A big man with range, Lockley is shooting .286 from beyond the arc with eight made three-pointers to place him second on the team.

Lockley filled up the stat sheet last season as well, running the boards with a team-high 225 rebounds to place him seventh in the conference. He finished the season second on the team with 53 assists and was one of two players to capture at least 20 steals (21) and blocks (21).

SET THE TONE
Redshirt Sophomore Antonio "Tone" Spencer missed his first game of the year in KSU's last game at Belmont after taking a knock at Murray State. Spencer is the only Owl so far to start in at least 10 games this season.

The Dallas, Texas native has elevated his game this year, scoring 12 points in the second half alone against FIU to record his first career double-figure game. Spencer also pulled down eight rebounds against the Panthers, one shy of his career-high.

Spencer is currently averaging 4.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, over two points and two boards higher than his season average a year ago.

Spencer's team-high seven blocks on the year places him in a tie for 11th in the league. He finished last season ranked second on the team and eighth in the ASUN with 27 total blocks.

Spencer has seen a lot more minutes already this year, recording 20 or more minutes in five games. Last season he recorded over 20 minutes only four times in 32 appearances, averaging 13.4 minutes per game in 2018-19.

CARRYING THE BURDEN
Terrell Burden has made an instant impact on the court for KSU during his first season in an Owl uniform. The Smyrna, Ga., product has scored double-digits in five games this year, leading the team in scoring three times.

Burden is averaging 9.2 points per game to rank second on the team. He has netted a career-high 15 points twice this year, once at Elon and again against FIU.

Burden has also added 16 assists and six steals on the year.

After Sunday's game, the Owls take a break for the holidays before closing out non-conference play at Iowa Sunday (Dec. 29) at 4 p.m. ET.
