KSU Announces Exciting 2020 Slate

KENNESAW, Ga. – Entering his second season as the Kennesaw State softball Head Coach, Tripp MacKay has announced an exciting and challenging 2020 schedule.

The 2020 season contains a 56-game slate, including 30 home games and an exhibition against the United States Women's National Team in Columbus, Ga. on Apr. 3. For more information on the game, please click here.

KSU opens the season Feb. 7 against Purdue Fort Wayne and Jacksonville State University in the Phyllis Rafter Memorial. The Owls play each program three times over the weekend and is one of three tournaments that the Owls will host this season.

After a mid-week tilt at Auburn (Feb. 13), KSU plays in the Troy Tournament (Feb. 14-16) against the host Trojans, Southeast Missouri State, and Purdue Fort Wayne again.

The Owls again host the Bobbie Bailey Memorial (Feb. 21- 23) and Interstate 75 Challenge (Feb. 28-Mar. 1) before traveling to Fort Collins, Colo. for the Colorado State Tournament (Mar. 6-8).

Rhode Island, Marshall, and East Tennessee State visit for the Bobbie Bailey Memorial, and Rider, Iowa State, and Penn State head south for the I75 Challenge.

The Owls will test their Peach State prowess against in-state rivals Georgia Tech, Georgia State and Georgia Southern. KSU travels to Tech Feb. 26 and hosts the Yellow Jackets Apr. 15. GSU is also a two-game series, with a game in Atlanta Mar. 4 and in Kennesaw Apr. 22. KSU hosts the Eagles Apr. 8.

Owl fans can see new faces this spring with the likes of Oklahoma State (Mar. 19) and Clemson (Mar. 31) traveling to Bailey Park.

ASUN Conference play begins Mar. 14 as the Owls travel to Fort Myers, Fla. to play against Florida Gulf Coast. Other road ASUN series include Liberty (Mar. 21-22), North Alabama (Apr. 10-11), and Jacksonville (Apr. 18-19).

KSU plays host to Lipscomb (Mar. 28-29) and North Florida (Apr. 4-5), and closes out the regular season at home against Stetson (Apr. 25-26).

The ASUN Conference Championship, hosted by Liberty, will be held in Lynchburg, Va. May 6-9.
