Nick Masterson became the first Owl in program history to be drafted to the NBA G League, chosen by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Saturday afternoon.
Masterson, who spent the last year playing overseas with Netherlands-based Aris Leeuwarden, remains the greatest three-point shooter in DI history at KSU, finishing his time as an Owl shooting 47.4 percent from beyond the arc. He is one of three Owls in program history to sink over 200 career treys, ranked second all-time with 217.
He put on a 3-point shooting clinic his senior season at KSU, leading the NCAA with a blistering 54.7 shooting percentage from three-point range. Originally from Woodstock, Ga., Masterson finished his career with over 1,000 points scored (1,119).
A 2017-18 Second Team All-ASUN selection, Masterson also shined in the classroom being named the ASUN Scholar of the year his senior year while being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team his junior and senior seasons.
