COACH SPEAK
"I think we came out from the start playing our game and implementing our style of play against an opponent for the first time this year," head coach
Benji Walton said. "We felt like we knew what Georgia Southern was going to do, they did it, and we reacted to it very well.
Â
"I am very happy with the win, and since I've been here, we have never beaten Georgia Southern. It was a big win against an in-state opponent," Walton added. "The lesson we have to take from this is to play our game and finish our chances a little better. Overall, I am pleased with the team's effort. They came in really locked in tonight and that was fun to see." Â
