 - The No. 4 Kennesaw State football team continues its homestand Saturday, battling the Samford Bulldogs for the third time in the last two seasons. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Top Storylines
• Samford was the victim of KSU's first FCS playoff win in program history last year as the Owls knocked off the Bulldogs 28-17.

• The Owls are coming off their highest point production in school history last Saturday, scoring 70 points to roll to their third straight victory. During the last three games, KSU is outscoring opponents 181-36.

• Kennesaw State's 181 points the last three weeks is tied with Texas Tech for the most points in Division I football. It also sets the Big South record for the most points scored in a three-game stretch. 

• The Owls enter Saturday's game with 11 consecutive home wins, having not lost at Fifth Third Bank Stadium since Oct. 15, 2016, a span of 714 days.

• KSU has the fourth-longest active home winning streak in FCS. The Owls are one of five programs with a winning streak of 10 or more games.

• Kennesaw State had three interception returns for touchdowns in program history, before Jace White and Demetrius Pettway  both recorded a Pick 6 against Clark Atlanta last weekend.

• KSU has not lost a regular-season game to an FCS opponent since Aug. 31, 2017, when it fell to Samford, 28-23 (394 days).

• KSU has five one-play scoring drives in the last three weeks, giving it 13 in the last two seasons. The offense also has seven scoring drives this year under 60 seconds.

Chandler Burks has eight rushing touchdowns on the year, the most in all of FCS. He also has the most rushing TD's among all FCS and FBS quarterbacks.

• The Owls have forced a turnover in 18 straight games dating back to last season, and have recorded an interception in 17 of the last 18 contests.

• The KSU defense tied the program record for interceptions in a game last week with four. The Owls rank eighth in the nation with six INT's on the year.

Noting The Samford Bulldogs
• Samford is under the direction of head coach Chris Hatcher. In his four seasons at Samford, Hatcher has accumulated a 23-17 record.

• The Bulldogs average 374.3 passing yards per game to lead the Southern Conference and rank second in the FCS.

• A 2018 Preseason Walter Payton Award Candidate, and 2017 finalist, senior quarterback Devlin Hodges leads the SoCon in completions per game (34.75), Passing TDs (11) and passing yards per game (367.8).

• Hodges' favorite target is Kelvin McKnight who averages 10.5 receptions per game to lead the FCS. McKnight leads the SoCon with five receiving touchdowns and ranks second in the conference in receiving yards per game (141.5).
