Owls Eye Third Consecutive Win Against Clark Atlanta

 - The No. 5 Kennesaw State football team continues its four-game homestand on Saturday, welcoming Clark Atlanta to Fifth Third Bank Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff.

Top Storylines
• The Owls are coming off their highest point production in school history last Saturday, scoring 62 points to roll to their second straight victory. During the last two games, KSU has scored 111 points.

• Kennesaw State enters Saturday's game  with 10 consecutive home wins, having not lost at Fifth Third Bank Stadium since Oct. 15, 2016, a span of 707 days.

• Kennesaw State has not lost a regular-season game to an FCS opponent since Aug. 31, 2017, when it fell to Samford, 28-23 (387 days).

• KSU had three one-play scoring drives last Saturday, giving the Owls five for the year and 13 in the last two seasons.

• Kennesaw State had four scoring drives under one minute last week, increasing its season total to seven on the year.

Chandler Burks had three rushing touchdowns in each of the last two games and is tied for first in the country in rushing scores with six. 

• The Owls have forced a turnover in 17 straight games dating back to last season, and have recorded an interception in 16 of the last 17 contests.

• Through three games, the offensive line ranks fourth in the country in sacks allowed, giving up just one on the year.

Isaac Foster recorded the longest kickoff return in school history on Saturday, going 100 yards in his first career return to earn Big South Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

• The Owls' powerful ground attack ranks third in the nation among all FCS and FBS teams, averaging 368.3 rushing yards per game.

• Kicker Justin Thompson has made 93 consecutive PAT's, currently tied for the sixth longest streak in the country. He is the program's all-time leading scorer with 243 points.

• Entering Week 4, the KSU defense leads the Big South and ranks 15th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 15.7 points per game.

Noting Clark Atlanta
• Clark Atlanta is 0-3 on the year after falling 24-17 to Tuskegee Saturday. The Panthers have lost all three games by seven points or less.

• CAU is under the direction of head coach Kevin Ramsay, who is in his third season, sporting a 9-14 record. 

• The Panthers are averaging 15.7 points per game and 271 yards of total offense. 

• Clark Atlanta is led by junior QB Charles Stafford, who is 52-98-4 with 480 passing yards and two touchdowns.

• Junior wide receiver Jonathan Sanders ranks first in the SIAC, averaging 7.3 receptions per game and second in the conference with 201 total receiving yards.

• Defensively, the Panthers are one of the top teams in the SIAC, leading the conference in passing yards allowed per game (126), ranking 11th in all of Division II.

• Jr. DB Kenneth Morgan leads the team with 23 tackles, 1.5 for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery.

• Clark Atlanta has one of the top takeaway defenses with five fumbles recovered in its first three games to lead the conference and rank seventh in DII. CAU's six turnovers gained on the year is second in the SIAC.
