THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State scored three runs in the first inning, but Georgia Southern held the Owls bats in check from there to get the win in Stillwell Stadium on Wednesday, May 9.
Tyler Simon led the Owls with two hits and
LaDonis Bryant had the only RBI for the Owls.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Kennesaw State pushed three runs across in the first inning with the help of two wild pitches and a single by
LaDonis Bryant.
· Georgia Southern had a big second inning scoring four runs and then scoring two more runs in the third inning to take the lead.
· The Owls had two runners on in the sixth and one in the seventh, but had trouble getting anything going after that first inning.
·
Jake McLinskey had two good innings for the Owls only giving up one in his appearance.
