JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Kennesaw State fell in their opening game of the ASUN Championship against the host team North Florida 7-1.
The game was tight until the seventh inning when the Ospreys broke the game open with five runs in the top of the seventh inning.

THE STORYLINES:
· The Owls mustered eight hits against the ASUN leader in ERA, but could only score one run stranding eight on base.
· Kennesaw State stranded one runner in five of the first six innings before the Ospreys broke the game open in the seventh.

David Chabut led the team at the plate going 2-4 with two singles.
·
AJ Moore went 6.1 innings giving up four runs on five hits. He had nine strikeouts for the fourth this season. He had 10 in one game and nine in three others.
· In all, five pitchers pitched in the game.
Deviner McCray and
Logan Hutchinson gave up zero runs in their appearances out of the bullpen.

Kennesaw State will play Stetson to try and keep their season alive on Thursday, May 24 at 3 p.m. at Harmon Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida.
